Rudraksha Beads Prayer Mala.
Product Details
Rudraksha is the seed of a particular tree species which usually grows at a certain altitude in the mountains – mainly in the Himalayan region and plays an important role in a spiritual seeker’s life.
A Japa mala or mala (meaning garland) is a set of Rudraksha seed together commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists, usually made from 108 beads. Rudraksha, the sacred seed which literally means the eye of lord Shiva, has a brownish red, wrinkled appearance. Rudraksha beads are generally used with Shiva mantra. However, they are effective with any mantra said with devotion, for they open the Heart Chakra.
Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This practice is known in Sanskrit as japa. Malas are mainly used to count mantras. The material used to make the beads can vary according to the purpose of the mantras used. Some beads can be used for all purposes and all kinds of mantras.
Rudraksha is believed to help lower blood pressure and create Stability within the entire system. For someone who is constantly on the move and who eats and sleeps in various places, rudraksha is a very good support because it creates a cocoon of your own energy. It is also a kind of shield against negative energies.
The rudraksha mala can be worn all the time. You can even wear it when you shower. If you take cold water baths and are not using any chemical soap, it is especially good for the water to flow over it and upon your body. But if you are using chemical soaps and warm water, it becomes brittle and will crack after sometime, so it is best to avoid wearing it at such times.
